The ports of SIOX into ImageJ and Fiji were performed by Ignacio Arganda-Carreras, Stephan Saalfeld, and Johannes Schindelin. ImageJ is a public domain, Java-based image processing program developed at the US National Institute of Health and Fiji is an image processing package based on ImageJ. Fiji aims to beeasy to install and updateable for users. It bundles a set of plugins in a coherent menu structure, ships with a Java runtime environment and Java3D, and has comprehensive documentation. Fiji is the first application to implement the full functionality of SIOX, as it includes the Detail Refinement Brush.
